At Headz for Hair we handle your data with care. Below you can read, in plain language, which data we use, why, and what your rights are.

Who are we?
Headz for Hair is a hair salon at Weimarstraat 48A, 2562 GZ The Hague, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce no. 27163603). We are responsible for the data that comes in through this website and the Headz app.

Visitor statistics without cookies
We count visitors with GoatCounter. It works without cookies and does not track you across other websites. We only see general figures, such as which pages are viewed, and no names or IP addresses. That is also why we don't ask for cookie consent: we don't set any.
Booking an appointment
Online appointments are made through our booking system SARA Salonsoft (headzforhair.boekingapp.nl). There you enter your name, email address and phone number. We only use these to schedule your appointment, send you a confirmation and reminder, and contact you if needed. SARA processes this data on our behalf.
Payments and deposits
For treatments from € 100 you pay a deposit when booking online. This payment is handled by Mollie, a payment service supervised by the Dutch central bank. We can see whether the payment succeeded, but not your full bank details.
Partner links in the shop
The Headz Shop contains links to bol. These are partner links: if you buy something through one, we receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. Bol registers that you came from our site; what bol does with that is described in bol's privacy policy. Bol does not give us any personal data, only that a purchase was made.
Videos, music and maps
- YouTube videos and Spotify music only load once you press play yourself. Only then do you connect to YouTube or Spotify, and their privacy rules apply. For YouTube we use the privacy-friendly version (youtube-nocookie.com).
- Our own video is hosted on our own server.
- Clicking a directions link opens Google Maps in a new window.
Fonts
The fonts on this site come from Google Fonts. Your browser fetches them from Google, which technically sees your IP address. No cookies are set in the process.
Contact via WhatsApp, email or phone
If you contact us, we only use your details to help you and arrange your appointment. WhatsApp is a service of Meta; WhatsApp's privacy rules apply.
The Headz app
The Headz app is a shortcut to this website on your home screen. It stores a few pages on your phone so you can see opening hours and contact details without internet. There is no account and the app does not collect any extra data.
How long do we keep data?
We keep customer and appointment data for as long as you are a customer, and no longer than necessary after that. Invoices are kept for 7 years, as required by Dutch law.
Your rights
You can always ask which data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Just email headzforhair@gmail.com; we respond within one month. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes
If anything changes in how we handle data, we will update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
